EIAT Creative Education will be once again be running Artsmark training courses in Autumn 2009 - for Artsmark Round 10

All the courses are full day events 9.30am - 3.30pm

Schools can book for one or both events, please see the list of dates and venues below

The training will be led by Ken Gouge who is member of the Artsmark Project Team with Arts Council England and also an Artsmark validator

Who can apply?

The Artsmark award is open to primary, secondary and special schools and pupil referral units, both maintained and independant schools

Which educational institutions are not eligible to apply?

- sixth form colleges that cater only to post 16 pupils

- early years settings (0-5), unless they are attached to a school with key stage 1 pupils

The Introduction and Overview 9.30am – 3.30pm

The Introduction and Overview to Artsmark training day aims to provide participants with a good understanding of the Artsmark application process. Training is aimed at schools new to Artsmark, or schools that are re-applying, areas covered include:

-Application process made clear 
-Sharing issues and ideas 
-An overview of the Artsmark award 
-Major changes to Round 10 explained 
-Developing a new arts policy
-A guide through the application process
-Learning about arts partners
-The benefits of applying

Completing Artsmark Application 9.30am – 3.30pm

The Completing Application Forms training day aims to provide participants with the help and guidance they need to complete the application process. Training is aimed at schools that have either completed the Introduction and Overview Artsmark course, or already have a good knowledge of the Artsmark award, areas covered will include:

-Guidance with your application 
-The assessment and the validation process explained
-Help to meet the deadline
-Major changes to Round 10 explained
-Specific school queries answered

29th Sept - Grantham (East Midlands)

30th Sept - Huddersfield (Yorkshire)

1st Oct - Atherton, Greater Manchester (North West)

Part 2 Completing Application Forms course dates:

19th Oct - Stafford (West Midlands)

20th Oct - Grantham (East Midlands)

21st Oct - Huddersfield (Yorkshire)

22nd Oct - Atherton, Greater Manchester (North West)
