EIAT - background
EIAT was established in 2004 by directors Gary Hargreaves and Janet Wilson with an aim to provide quality training and consultancy services to the educational and creative and cultural industries. Both directors have an industry background in the creative sector, including performing arts, music and visual arts combined with expertise in the field of education and in business and management consultancy.
EIAT Creative Projects: Making and devising innovative works in a wide range of visual and performance arts. Working creatively in the cultural industries, public, commercial and educational sectors and in community and heritage environments.
In addition we are able to provide a range of educational activities, creative learning opportunities, and community engagement - embedded within the context of each individual arts project.

In March 2007 Janet Wilson was awarded a grant from the Yorkshire regional office of Arts Council England for a Visual Art residency project called Secret Sea. Throughout the project Janet engaged with the local community of South Shields, near Newcastle, working with a range of school and adult groups who assisted with project research and the gathering of information and local heritage artefacts relating to The Great Storm of 1901 - the theme of the project.
The Secret Sea artist residency and exhibition project was developed in partnership with The Sandford Gaudie Gallery at The Customs House Arts Centre, South Shields and with South Tyneside Council - for further information go to www.secretsea-eiat.com.
